Merril Davies

Merril is an artist based in Mumbles, Swansea, where she has lived for over 25 years.

 

She first discovered her love of printmaking whilst studying Fine Art at Swansea Metropolitan University and now works from her studio 'The Loft' in Mumbles.

Her work is hand-crafted, using various printmaking techniques, primarily collagraph and linocut printmaking. Her work is eclectic in subject matter and is often inspired by places she's visited - the landscapes, architecture and wildlife, but also sometimes completely abstract. She often observes a subject, snaps a photo and thinks "That'll make a good print."
